Anti-seize are designed with high solids content and carrier grease to more efficiently transfer torque to tightening force. Anti-seize lubricants can withstand heavy load applications while still providing lubrication and friction reduction due to its high solids content.
Bolts, fasteners, flanges, and other clamped interfaces are lubricated with anti-seize materials to avoid galling, seizing, and corrosion, as well as to make disassembly easier. Anti-seize pastes, greases, and coatings are available, and they may be made from a variety of materials (e.g. copper, nickel) to suit specific systems. As a result, selecting the appropriate anti-seize solution for the system is critical.
How does Anti-Seize Lubricants work?
Anti-seize compound coats threads, reducing corrosion and adhesion between the thread and the fastener. Too much anti-seize on the thread might collect dirt, contaminating the thread and making it impossible to remove the fastener properly.
Is Anti-Seize a good lubricant?
Anti-seize can withstand heavy load applications while still providing lubrication and friction reduction due to its high solids content. Unlike grease, however, anti-solid seize’s lubricant can resist high temperatures and prevent parts against galling and seizure even in the most demanding conditions.

LOCTITE LB 771™ NICKEL ANTI-SEIZE:
Copper-free. Stainless steel and other metal fittings are recommended. In severe chemical conditions and temperatures up to 2400°F (1315°C), for resisting corrosion, seizing, and galling.
LOCTITE LB 8008™ COPPER ANTI-SEIZE LUBRICANT
Copper and graphite are suspended in a high-quality grease thanks to an exclusive recipe. At temperatures up to 1800°F (982°C), it protects metal parts from rust, corrosion, galling, and seizing. A semi-solid stick is also available.
LOCTITE LB 8009™ HEAVY DUTY ANTI-SEIZE, METAL FREE
Outstanding lubricity. Up to 2400°F (1315°C), it provides excellent lubrication to all metals, including stainless steel, aluminum, and soft metals. A semi-solid stick is also available.
LOCTITE LB 8014™ FOOD GRADE ANTI-SEIZE, METAL FREE
Stainless steel and other metal parts are protected from seizing, galling, and friction up to 750°F (399°C). This lubricant protects metal parts from corrosion and seizures.
LOCTITE LB 8023™ MARINE GRADE ANTI-SEIZE, METAL FREE
This anti-seize works exceptionally effectively in high-humidity circumstances and is designed to protect assemblies exposed directly or indirectly to fresh water and salt water. It possesses high lubricity, water wash-out spray resistance, and galvanic corrosion resistance.
LOCTITE LB 8044™ ZINC ANTI-SEIZE
Up to 750°F (399°C), it protects aluminum and ferrous surfaces from seizure and corrosion. Zinc anti-seize is for aluminum threads.
LOCTITE LB 8150™ SILVER GRADE ANTI-SEIZE:
Graphite and metallic flake are added to this heavy-duty, temperature-resistant petroleum-based lubricant combination. Extreme cold or heat will not cause it to evaporate or solidify. For use in assemblies with a maximum temperature of 1600°F (871°C) a semi-solid stick is also available.
